[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This gecko was photo in the Israeli side of the Arava valley during a short study.
The aim of the study was to collect as much data as possible about reptile's populations in the Arava dunes in order to stop the development of agriculture in this area, which destroys this rare habitat.
This species is nocturnal and feeds on small invertebrate that are active on the sand during the night. Usually in the late hours of the night the gecko digs borrow in the dune and use it during the day.

great wide capture, dash Ori

Shalom Aviad, perfect capture of this beautiful Doria's Thin-toed gecko in its natural habitat. It is interesting that you photographed it in day time though this little fellow has a strictly nocturnal activity. TFS.
Greetings from Turkey, Deniz

Hello Aviad

this is a wonderful picture of a gecko active at dayligh, a sight we never have with the species around us. My compliments for the composition, the vivid allure of the interesting and strange creature.
Best regards

Hello Aviad!
Funny capture with nice perspective and composition. I like natural light and colours. It is really interesting that this nocturnal species was active during sunny day :)
Best greetings,

Well done, Aviad.
The Gecko's habitat is also photographed very well..

interesting pov and composition. nice dof!

This little guy in the sand reminds me of one I got of a crab on a beach in Hawaii. Honestly, though, I like the composition of this image more - well done! -Kelly
