The Two Tailed Pasha (Charaxes jasius) is one of the most beautiful butterflies in Israel and Europe.
This butterfly is the biggest butterfly in Europe (and Israel) and it can be found only in the Mediterranean Countries in Europe, Africa and The Middle East.
In Israel it can be found only in the mountains of the Mediterranean region, from May to October.
Wing span: up to 100 m"m and more. The female is much bigger than the mail.
Host plants: Strawberry Trees of the genus Arbutus

This is an absolutely pretty butterfly with a riot of colours and patterns on its nether wings, Ben.
A perfect capture with great sharpness. The plain green BG is vital to the appeal of this image.
