[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This spider is 25mm long.
Here its working on catterpillar, spinning its web around it preparing it for lunch.
you can see the spider silk going out of his leg wrapping the larva.
male is much smaller than the photographed female (only 5mm).
common specie in Israel and other countries around the mediteranean sea.

Well captured moment, I always find it fascinating seeing these close up detailed shots as you get to see so much more then you would with the naked eye. I notice the lighting is a little harsh, it this was done using flash, try diffusing the light a little to soften it and give you a better all round light rather then a harch directional light. I find that wrapping plastic "bubble-wrap" material aound the flash head gives a nice soft light... though it looks a little silly!

Very good close up pic that shows great composition, POV, Lighting, Sharpness, detail and BG. TFS,

Hello Oz,
Amazing capture! Congratulations to the spider....and to you.
The details are incredible good and sharp.
The BG is appropiate to this shot and has nice similar spider colors, but´s not distracting.

Hi Oz,
Excellent exposure, very detailed and very good point of view. The depth of field is just right. This spider is different from most spiders in this site.
Well done!
