While diving in the Musandam area in the Sultenate of Oman,I spotted this clown fish, Amphiprion clarkii, among his host of anemone.
The base body colour varies, usually orange/yellow and some individuals can be very dark, though all of them retain either two or three white bands on the side of their bodies.
They grow to a maximum length of 15 cm and can be found from a depth of 1 metre to 50 metres.
I attempted about 15 shots, with my Sony Cybershot in a water tight case, of this fish but it never let me have a sideways shot of him, maybe it was a her?
The time of day was around 15:00 in the afternoon at a depth of about 10 metres. |

it's a beautiful world
I like this shot very much. Like the round green shapes of the polpys and the yellow fish .. funny that he would not give you a side view of him. That would have made a better pic .. but I like this one too!!
