Bee On Red Rose

We used to have a honey-comb on our little fig tree last year. The bees were friendly and I posted quite a few pictures of it last year.
Sadly, it was gone by the time I returned to Riyadh after my summer vacation in September 2006.
Another honey-comb lies hidden between the fronds of a palm tree in our compound. Once in a while, bees from there come to our little garden but there is nothing much in it of their interest except a leaking garden hose from which they drink water occasionally.

The other day I saw one of them getting in and out of a double red rose in the garden. It would disappear into the folds of the flower for long minutes and then come out suddenly and fly away.
I captured it when it suddenly popped out of the folds.
It roamed around on the surface of the flower for a moment and I was able to take a few more macro shots of it.
Here is the one of its appearance from inside the flower.

bonjour Ram,
l'idée est bonne, cela lui fait un lit douillet. La composition est bonne et la couleur bien vive. Juste un léger manque de DOF sur l'insect.

Hi Ram.
Very nice note and amazing art reproduction of the rose together with bee. I usually prefer more sharp images but yours is wonderful in its elegance and colourfulness. Sot is illuminated and composed excellently too. Well done. My best wishes and TFS.
Alexei.

Your framing and composition are very nice, the DOF is excellent. Great exposure and colour.
Best wishes,
Achim

Hello Ram,
This is an artistic and unusual presentation of a Honey Bee. It seems to have an expression of disappointment on its face, having failed to extract much nutrient from its host rose.
Indeed, though roses are pollinated by insects, they don't offer much in return. So I might have titled this 'Bee in the red!', but I have that kind of mind.
Thanks for this one,
Best wishes mf,
Ivan
