[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Thunder storms are a common phenomenon of nature in the deserts of the Middle East during March/April.
As soon as there is a slight rise in temprature with the change of seasons, these thunder storms take place with high winds laden with dust and followed almost immediately by a shower of rain.
This year too, we had quite a few storms here in Riyadh. After these storms, the sunsets are normally good to look at if not spectacular. Here is a picture of one of them.
I have named it Urban Sunset in the series I began last year. The view of urban features in such a picture is inevitable but constitutes only an incidental element to the image.

Hi Ram

Interesting composition. The colours are lovely and, as you say, are typical of a desert area. I like the stak contrast of the human element.

Hi Ram,

This is a beautiful sunset and an unusual sight for me. Here sunsets are always shown over the mountains so I find this quite different. The colors are magnificent and the composition is wonderful.

Hello Sir,
Very very urban a sunset.....the sun afar and telecom towers...it's become such a unversal phenomenon!

TFS & Cheers

Hi Ram,
Just goes to show, if there is a sunset or sunrise, silohettes of anything look beautiful. Love this big sun the beautiful sky and the sihoettes of the city against it. TFS

Hi Ram,
I know the feeling of not be able to get a proper setting for a sunset. Most of mine are actually seen from a urban environment as well and sometimes blocked by buildings. The soft orange glow of the sky looks to me as a sky only seen in a dessert environment. The beautiful shaped round sun is something else I would only expect in a dessert. I did not know that thunderstorms would appear in a desert environment as you mentioned. In all a wonderful dessert sunset with a nice soft textured cloud formation.
