[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

This picture of a crippled Hoverfly is for my friend Everton De Melo (demeve) who wanted to see this insect facing the camera in his critique on my previous picture of this insect I shot last month. The insect had somehow lost one of its wings and it perched helplessly on a half dry leaf, not being able to fly away when I drew closer for a macro picture of it.
Hoverflies are generally very finnicky insects though I have shot them hovering in the air quite successfully. (I have posted a couple of pictures already).

For details about this insect, please refer to my previous post here.

Hello Ram,
This is your little injured friend again. This is an interesting frontal POV with nice colors and brilliance. I also like this composition and colors. Thanks,

Hola Ram,

Hello Ram,
I prefer this post of the injured hoverfly to the previous because I like the POV, almost all of it is sharp and I find the reflection on the wings appealing and as the composition is also good I think this is an excellent macro.
TFS and take care, Ivan

Hi Ram,
I photographed these little guys in Assam as well,
the one I got looked like a handsome young fella :P
I know how challenging these guys can get in order to get a good shot.
You have good glass that you used here :)
Cheers :D
