|Netta rufina (TUR: Macar ördeği, ENG: Red-crested Pochard): Photo was taken in Hafik lake in Sivas Province in Eastern Türkiye last autumn. Bird in the picture is a male in eclipse stage. In breding season, it has a rounded orange head, red bill and black breast. The flanks are white, the back brown, and the tail black. The female is mainly a pale brown, with a darker back and crown and a whitish face.|

Bravo pour cette belle capture. Ce canard est très joli et les détails du plumage sont excellents.
This is the second posting of a duck in the water I have seen today. It is such a great and most serene capture of this " Red-crested Pochard" I think if we had a pond nearby with some water birds in it, Ill be spending a lot of time there. I will pack a picnic basket and sit and watch it and just photograph it whole day. I am sure I will have the opportunity for the most to take the most wonderful photos. This a lovely scene and much enjoyable to look at. This duck looks as if it is just lazing around is looks most at ease. This duck plumage are of exceptional colour, especially the beak. The mirror image adds a special touch to this photo and rounds it of well. Thanks for sharing.
