[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi guys! i'm back from Cebeci, it was a great weekend especially on Saturday which was last day of the september:-) i met lots of interesting insects, birds, mushrooms also. Saturday afternoon i was on a trip to looking mushrooms with my father. After three hours my father left me and returned to home, maybe he was bored with my photo desire :-) Then i kept the trip alone, visited a secret beautiful long beach, there are no one except me and the sea birds on that huge beautiful beach. i observed that wonderful birds with my spotting scope and binoculars. i listened and enjoyed the tide's sounds and visions. My trip lead about seven hours, great times i had!

This one is my passion to take photo of it and i did it this time:-) Migrant Hawker-Aeshna mixta is really a hawker, they are flying continuously, really hard to see when they are at rest and really a shy species also, if you see them at rest they runaway from you immediately. But in the end i persuaded this one to be friend of mine which was on a dried fern for resting. Lots of shots i took, until my father got curious and closed to just three meters from us, this guy runaway. No matter, i took my shots already:-) Hope you like it!

i cropped the photo for framing fixing and turned the left for easy looking.

The Migrant Hawker (Aeshna mixta) is with its length of 63 mm one of the smaller species of hawker dragonflies. The species prefers still or slow-flowing water and can tolerate brackish sites. The flight period is from July to the end of October. They can be found in North Africa, southern and central Europe to the Baltic region.

In the United Kingdom this insect was rare until the 1940's when it began migrating from the continent in large numbers. It continues to do so and is now a resident breeding species throughout England and Wales. It reached the Isle of Man in 1998 and Eire in 2000.

Hi Ersin

I'm happy for you knowing you had such a great time at Cibeci.
Nice story and nice moments! I'm also happy for you for finding and managing to capture this dragonfly - i know you followed it for a long time and now you are satisfied with the results.
Coming back to the shot, it's a very nice macro, that has really great sharpness, good POV, excellent DOF and lovely colros. It's a bit over-exposed for my taste, but it's fine :)
Hope to see more of this wonderful hawker :)

Bravo and TFS

Merhaba Ersin.

Selamlar

Hi Ersin!

Great macro my friend! I love contrast between colorfull dragonfly and brown, dried leaf. POV is brilliant and every detail sharp and well seen.
