[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
In last week, when I uploaded this shot, I'd like to mention, somebody get close to die, continuing others their lives. The butterfly was almost finished its way, but red bugs was starting a new lives with their eggs.
On the other hand, I wish to thanks Ken Slade (Ken52) for identification the butterfly as Queen of Spain fritillary- Issoria lathonia . |

Hi Ahmet,
Your very worn butterfly may be a Queen of Spain fritillary- Issoria lathonia). It is difficult to tell because of the condition of your butterfly.
It is a nice photo with the mating bugs as a bonus. Good DOF.
Ken

Ahmet, Sorry for the fly as it seems the wings are damaged. The shot is diffrent from two angle. a. The damaged butterfly and second below the fly there are two insect mating. Could have been wonderful if you had taken the shot from another angle. TFS Ganesh

All that I can say is poor thing. It looks like this butterfly has experienced difficult times. It seems like it has been through wind, water, sun and also cold, maybe a machine gun or two.
Shame! The colours look very dull, like it has been in the washing machine.
I agree with gannu on the angle of the shot. I wish I could give you more points, but you did not even have a note. But thanks for sharing.
Regards
Aaltjie
