[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Alcedo atthis (TUR: Yalıçapkını, ENG: Common Kingfisher): This species has a very wide distribution over Turkey. I saw them in costal Blacksea, Mediterranea sea and Marmara areas before. However I know that they are more common in Turkey including a lot of part. My first photo in TN also was the same species from Zonguldak. This photo was taken in Göksu Deltası area in southern Turkey. This area is one of the most important bird area in Turkey. In my short time survey for 3-4 hours I saw more than 15 species there.

Bonjour Mustafa,
Bravo pour cette magnifique image de Martin pêcheur. La composition est très réussie, avec des lignes marquées qui accentuent la tension de l'oiseau prêt à attaquer. L'arrière plan bleuté met en valeur les couleurs extraordinaires du plumage.

Hi Mustafa
Cool shot of this kingfisher, which looks like hi is ready for action.
Nice colours and details.

Beautiful shot, well composed with beautiful colours and sharp details. Excellent POV and DOF

Hallo Mustafa
Trek Nature is a new adventure to me and I can now see why it is so difficult to get Loot away from his PC. There are just so many talented photographers on the site and they all have such spectacular portfolios. I came across this lovely "Alcedo atthis (Kingfisher)" in your gallery, and although it is not one of your most recent postings decided to give my smiley to this photo, since my first posting is also of a kingfisher. This is such an elegant, vivid and dignified looking bird, and what I see in size wise it is quite small. I just love the different colours of green and blue of its plumage and the white spots on its head. I enjoyed looking at it. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
