|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
In winter plumage Turnstones are mostly dark brown on the head and upperparts and there is a distinctive curving black blob extending down either side of the breast. This contrasts distinctively with the pure white belly. In summer plumage the head becomes splendidly black and white, rich red-brown and black colours appear in the mantle.
Breeds around rocky coasts. Winters on rocky shores and shingle beaches.
Turnstones are passage visitors of Gediz delta, they are around from april till june.
Digiscoped with leica apo-televid.
Cropped, USM, blur to the BG and S/H done on PS.

perfect shot! cong!
Wow, Okan, such a pretty bird. I saw my first turnstone in Hawaii, and was amazed at how richly colored and patterned their plumage was. Very nice catch, though I find the background very busy and distracting. I did a workshop on the picture, mostly to practice for myself. Hope you don't mind. TFS. : )

L'éclairage et les détails dans le plumage sont excellents.
Félicitation pour cette belle composition.
