[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I noticed this little thing at the last moment, I was about to step on it.

Photographed on a hike trip through a pine forest near Ankara.

I am not good at identifying mushrooms, so any help is appreciated :-) By general consensus it is a species of Galerina. Thanks for all for thi info.

Thanks for stopping by.

very beautiful compo
great post

Hello Ali.
It is very difficult with this king of little fungus to get to a right id without further microscopic study done by experts, but Galerina species usually grow on this "moss islands" of the forests, and fit quite well with your photograph.
You got a very nice capture, with fine light and well managed DOF.
I would have personally cropped at the top a bit more, but only a personal taste.
Thanks and regards, Felipe.
PD: A long time ago I posted something similar HERE :)
I dared a worksop, hope you dont mind.

Hello Ali,

It is difficult fungi's from pictures to indentifie.
I think that Extramundi are right with the Galerina species.
They are very little.

Good of sharpness and beautiful colours and nicd dof.

Gert

Hi Ali,

Welcome to the fungi club of TN. Nice composition, I like it, although the crop is better in Felipe's (extramundi) WS. This fungus really seems like a Galerina, but not the deadly poisonous Galerina marginata, although it grows on dead pine wood like this.
Tfs, regards from Hungary, László

Lovely fungi shot Ali .. just the sort of thing I like.
I don't know if this is a Galerina or a Hygroybe of some type, but its an attractive little fungi.
You've captured it very nicely.

Steve
