Hello my friends

There is a Turkish phrase "leyleği havada görmek" This is used in English as "to be always on the move". I try to translate our sentence as word to word; a person, who see first stork of the year in flight [air], travels all over year, like me:) In this year, I saw first stork in flight and I made many trips to different corners of Turkiye. This is only good meeting, not related with storks. In last year, first stork was on ground:) But I move very much.
Well, today, I break down my trip shot and I will add a shot from yesterday and our campus area. This belongs to a beautiful lady of Emberiza schoeniclus - Bataklık Kirazkuşu [Çintesi] [TR], Reed Bunting [EN].
The family EMBERIZIDAE (PASSERIFORMES) is represented by 15 species. Of these, 12 species belong to the genus Emberiza. I have posted photographes for only
E. melanocephala - Karabaşlı Kirazkuşu [Çinte], Black-Headed Bunting,
E. hortulana - Kirazkuşu, Ortolan.

E. schoeniclus is seen in Akkaya Damlake in early spring [March-April] and its male has blackish colors instead of brownish parts on female head.
Yesterday, I captured it marshy edge of the lakelet, when I was close about 6-7 m. What a chance! my CF card was full. I deleted qucikly several frames and I captured this pose. I hope you will like it.

Dedication to my friend and a new member of TN, Süleyman UÇAR (hüsmenağa).

Hi Ahmet,

A wonderful close-up of this Reed Bunting. The face and feathers are shown in good colors and sharp details. Every feather stands out. I love the pose and the way he is staring right at the camera.

Merhaba Ahmet,
A superb portrait of a female E. schoeniclus taken from a fine POV with excellent lighting and sharpness against the natural OOF reed BG.
Your were lucky to come as close as 6 meters to this one.
They have started to arrive in Sweden now.
Tesekkürler ve eline saglik dostum,
Ivan

E hocam,

Ahmet,
I've never seen the first stork of the year "in flight" but I do travel a lot... in fact, all over the world... often & for free. Ha, ha, ha. Am a retired pilot... that's why.
ABSOLUTELY LOVELY.
Regards,
M.
