what a wonderful head-on portrait you made of this presumed Ephippiger sp. And look at all the mites attached. They seem to be parasites, reproducing on the host. You can see the hearing organs on the fore tibias too. Superb photo, Bulent.

This picture is really great! Not only from techniqual point of view but also as documentary photo. There are only a few picture known to me of Orthoptera species covered but mites! (here the red creatures on grasshopper head). Bravo and thank you for showing this image!
