Hello my friend
Exactly one month, I have been far away from TN and you. In this period, I have visited many places in Turkiye addition to some formal duties and academic works. Sorry for my silence. I also cant visit your posts. Sorry again.

In yesterday (May 19th), we had a national festival (19 Mayıs Gençlik ve Spor Bayramı) and a national holiday of one day. By the way, I drived to Aladağlar Mountains in SW corner of Niğde Prov. I arrived there at 7:00 in early morning. I met my friend Soner Bekir and some English and Bulgarian birdwatchers in there. After talking of several minutes, I parked my car at 2200 m and trekked in the canyon for several kilometers. I heard some songs of Tetraogallus caspius (Urkeklik, Caspian Snowcock). I climbed several hundred meters to the top of rocky hill; with 8 kg my camera and lens. When I sit down on the hill and around 3000 m a.s.l., a vulture came. I turned to its route to me and I captured some shots. The valley was below and it looks like base of a skycreeper. Fascinating elevation for me, with too much adrenalin. It was wonderful sense that becoming same level with the vulture in flight at the altitude of 3000 m.
Gypaetus barbatus is a familiar bird on TN and it is named by its beard on face of the adults. Turkish and latin names have same meaning: Sakallı Akbaba, namely Bearded Vulture.
I hope you will like it.
Thanks for visiting.

Hallo Ahmet
You do not have to apologize for anything as this great image of the Bearded Vulture makes up for your absence and fills the void in a flash. This is really a striking bird of prey and seeing it in flight more the better and prettier. I just love the soft orange colour on its belly, the sharp beak and the remarkable wide opened wingspan is just so beautiful. This must surely have been an incredible sight and great experience to capture it so skilfully in flight. Thanks for sharing and welcome back.
