Nice catch.
Maybe a little too much cropping as there is not much details.
Note that this is not a praying mantis. Also not Stogomantis carolina.
This is a cone head mantis. scientific name:
Genus Empusa
Species, possibly pennata
(It's OK, I did mistakes in ID myself before. Please just update your note)

It is really difficult to figure out at first glance whether this is a plant or an insect. The light of understanding dawns after reading your note.
The name "Empusa" fits this creature well. It does have a weird appearance.
Your long awaited pictures are a delight to behold. They are so unique and different in terms of both form and content.

Hello Sebnem, I study this image till I understand it. Now I see the magic you captured, great opportune shot. I was in Turkey last fortnight and almost took a short trip to İstanbul, unfortunately one of my members took sick and I had to cancel my plans so I stayed around the Bodrum area. I did get to Ephesus and Pamukkale though. Anyhow, very well done.
