i uploaded this photo with no intention to show photo quality, i only wanted to share a secret!

On last sunday, i went on a little trip to Sakarya River which far away 500 meters from our garden. i saw this beauty on a rock, this one is a quite big and fresh individual looks great to me. But when i was closing to him, he flied and look around on my head. Than i remembered that my wife Nebahat said to me, she tried to take a photo of a couple a few days ago. She was surprised that this couple started to play with her. They flied around on its head and sometimes they perched on its hands and shoulders, make some noises also. But they didn't permit to take much photo of them. After a while she wanted to return the home but she saw that this couple following her. Really a friendly butterflies they were! That time i didn't so much pay attention to the story, but when i remembered my wife's story, i decided to try it. So i held out my arm and my finger as a perch! This is a usual habit to me when i saw a cage bird especially a parakeet out of its cage. Surprisingly this beauty flied to me and accept my offer and land on my finger! Sometimes he flied and landed on my shoulders too, very inresting indeed. Maybe you should try that.

i uploaded a ws to show my wife's shot taken from her friend.

Hi Ersin,

dangerous posting, remember: no pets allowed here. ;)

Wonderful moment, very well taken and presented.
Perfectly naturalistic colours and details.
Well chosen depth of field, well composed with a sense for eye catching plus a little dramatic tension.
I am really impressed how well accepted you are by your targets. This male red admiral seems to have chosen you as the perfect outlook to watch out for an intruder into his territory. But furthermore, you seem to be a magic that is able to convert wild insects to behave like well fed birds or even pets.

With thanks, and best regards,

Hi Ersin,
Never know that butter can be this friendly. It occured to me once that a butterfly landed on my arm, lapping my sweat as substitute to salt or whatever minerals that it needed. This is a nice picture. TFS

I thank you so much for your trick/secret you give to us....It is very interesting and I would like to try it as well....:)
But more than that, I wonder how you could take this pict...this is for me difficult to imagine and to do, one hand taking a pict with a so clear and nice quality is a very good job you did...bravo!!

I never saw this kind of behavior with Canadian butterflies. Maybe you are gifted and you don't know it or maybe Turkish butterflies are very friendly... Anyway, I always said that you are insect's best friend. Well done :)
PT..later :)

Merhaba Ersin.

Ersin, cidden çok güzel bir kompozisyon olmuş. Eline sağlık. Herşeyi yerli yerinde. Selamlar

Hello ersin !
So you have found a new friend ? In France butterflies are not so friendly, you are very lucky ! :-) Composition and details are good, nice colors, very well done !

Hello Ersin,
Sounds like you had a very nice experience! I love your story writing! On several occasions I've seen Red Admirals behave very strangely when they've been drinking from overripe and rotting apples and plums on the ground! Perhaps that was the case?
Anyway I like your sharp shot of the Admiral on your finger!
Thanks and regards, Ulla
