[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Merops orientalis - Küçük Yeşil Arıkuşu [TR], Green Bee-eater, Little Green Bee-eater [EN] is the smallest bee-eater in the Middle East with 20-25cm of total lenght. It ranges in South Asia, Arabian Peninsula and North-east Africa. It breeds in arid and open terrain with scattered trees. Sometimes it used palm groves and gardens. It often roosts on top of bushes as seen here and on wires. The male has more blue cheek as on the photograph.

The shot was taken in Wadi Bih under very cloudy condition and from ground level.
