Hi Roy
The two ducks in the Photo are Female Common Meregansers They have a nice red eye and bill What i cannot make out
Thats important? They are Medium size bird Look as if the birds was a bit to far off then you cropped it Birds need more detail

I think these two female (common) mergansers are following a black and white male that we don't see in this shot!

I like the way you did your compo, as well as the frame.
Love the ripples and colour of the water.

Detail on these birds is hard to capture from the shore, unless you have a more powerful telephoto lens, what?
