|I spotted this fawn, along with a sibling and their mother not too far from where I live. |
The lighting was poor (dusk) but I was happy to get a fairly good focus of this little guy with the slow shutter speed.
Although their mother was cautious, she did not seem to be overly bothered by my presence, and they gradually made their way through a field, stopping for some grooming now and then.
I know the picture isn't the greatest, but I just love deer (especially the fawns), and was thrilled to not only see this family, but also catch them on camera.

Hi Lissa! This is a really great natural capture! You have shown the maturity level of the fawn by August, the beautiful softness of the fur, and those dainty little feet are so nicely portrayed. Well done!
I think the shot is great and I feel the same way, if I'm lucky enough to catch such a beautiful animal in a picture, it's a great picture! Until you've tried to take a picture of a wild animal, you don't know have a good appreciation of how hard it is to get everything perfect and still capture the animal's image!

I don't know how many moose I have tried to shoot, and all seem to be a dusk.
