I have never seen this particular bird before, but you show it off with wonderful detail and gorgeous natural colors. Love the composition, soft lighting and blurred BG. Well done!!

Hello Michel,
Though slightly soft, the featrures of this Orchard Oriole are well seen against a superb neutral BG and set in a pleasing composition.
At a focal length of 700 mm you must have used a tripod!
Congratuations on what I think is a first for TN!

Hola Michel,

hay un aspecto que destaca en tus tomas y es la NATURALIDAD con que plasmas los motivos fotografiados; eso particularmente es muy importante para mi ya que entre otras cosas permite conocer bien y realmente lo que ves. No se manipulas electrónicamente mucho tus tomas o poco, pero yo lo veo así.

Orchard Oriole is very beautiful model as like other orioles. We have only Golden Oriole here. you are lucky to see and captured it with a great shot. focus, POV/OOF and exposure wonderful. eyes contact and pastel colors splendid. I like you flash using and composition with green leaves.
I agree with Ivan. tripod will give best result. But I dont use it with my 600mm, since it is hard to use for active bird shots. However, I like your shot very much.

Hi Michel

This little Orchard Oriole - Icterus spurious is a real cutie from the icterid blackbird
family. I like your beautiful composition with the little branch delivering the bird into
the frame. Excellent DOF to isolate the BG and so compliment the bird while at the
same time it also ensured nice sharp details of the bird. I fancy the near perfect full
on side view that you managed to capture.

To you and your loved ones I wish a wonderful, healthy, and a prosperous 2010.

This one very plreasant and very well captured in great artistic view. The branch came out from the corner and the bird give a good pose. The colour contrast is so nice and the beaut is so well apppreciated.
