[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These two were nesting in a man-made platform right beside a highway near my hometown. I captured a few shots of their brood last year, but had a better camera and lens this time. I also captured the male returning with a fish, but the exposures weren't that great... ah well, I was happy with a few, this being one of them. I love their bright eyes and huge wingspan. Hope you like it.

Hi Lissa
Isn't it amazing how one guys fish is always bigger than the other ones fish, and then of course you always get those who tends to exaggerate. I think the one in the back falls with the latter mentioned group.
The 'man made structure' is not really a disturbing factor as lots of birds (and other animals) have shown their tolerance to human encroachment, but the fact is they themselves still remains natural. It's a case of 'the house does not make the man' if you get my drift.
You did well with your 'booked out' equipment. I must say, these Nikon's have weird numerics (625/1000000 sec) to indicate the shutter speed, but as long as it works 'who really cares?'
The composition is good and the colours are natural. The DOF & BG is excellent (who can fault such a nice blue sky?) and the exposure was very well handled.
Great work and TFS.

Hi Lissa,
A good decisive moment...well captured. The composition is good as you were right to add the platform and the birds are nice and clear and with good detail.I like the title as yes it does seem as they are saying -"Look mate, mine was definately bigger".Good that you got the face of the one at back showing. No complaints...really nice.
Regards, David

Lissa, wonderful capture of the Osprays. You have it right to the eye. I have been trying to capture a pair that live at a lake nearby, with mixed results. I like this a lot.

Bonjour Lissa
Belle prise de vue sur Ces deux beaux oiseaux. Félicitations pour l'expositions et les belles couleurs. Tu est vraiment chanceux d'avoir pu mettre cette scène sur pellicule.
Merci et bravo....JP

Great composition Lissa, excellent colors and great details.
Good POV, BG and excellent DOF.

You did a nice job on capturing these birds Lissa. Very cool how the one on the left is ducking just below the wingspan of the other. Good lighting on them too.

So funny compo, Lissa, well composed and balancing photo.
Best wishes,

Privet Lissa.
I saw a similar picture. On an electric column storks have made themselves a jack. A good shot.
