Just a try with my Canon 100-400mm IS USM at maxinun extension a Sigma TC 2X hand held(400MM x 1.6FF x 2.0MF = 1280mm). Actual picture represent around 25% of the original image size. Taken in RAW and processed with Capture One Pro with standards ajustments. JYB

This does appear to be a nice sharp photo with the 2X converter, pity the head was turned. The blue mark does catch the eye.

Beautiful photo with fine detail and gorgeous colors. Nice POV and good DOF. What a shame the duck turned away.... I know what waterfowl are like, lol, they always seem to turn away just as the shutter clicks. I've taken to using 'burst' mode on the camera to catch a whole series in the hope that in one they will be looking my way. Unfortunately my cameras limitations prevent the use of 'burst' in RAW format. :-(
