[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello,

I took this picture around 11:30 am on a marsh... I know that this damselfly is from the Coenagrionidae family. But the species is not obvious to me. I think this damselfly is Ischnura verticalis... Is anyone can help me about the ID? Comments and critics are always appreciated! Once again, without a macro lens, I had to use the macro function of the camera and had to be 1 inch of the insect (not easy to do!!!).

Thanks again for looking :-)

PS. For those interesting in the id, I have another picture HERE

Great capture, Michel. Like you say, getting this close to a damsel takes some effort. Not only were you able to do that, you did that while composing a wonderful shot. I really like the lighting and DoF, too.

Hi Michel,

No, not the Eastern Forktail, I would go with a spreadwing. The lighting is not helping to I.D. it, plus it would be nice to get a top view or a better view of the thorax.

Nice arty shot. ;)

Michel, I like this, especially composition and pov. Maybe, the image could be a little bit brighter, but it's just an opinion.

Very nice shades of green and sharpness. Like Fisher said, a very nice arty shot.

Merci,
Claudine

Hi Michel,
Nice shot. Hope that you did not get wet in taking this picture. Excellent composition and pov. Very well seen and TFS.

Hi Michel,
a nice close-up shot with nice colours and details.
You got a very nice DOF too.
Well done.

Hi Michel,

Outstanding POV, DOF, sharpness and colors, Michel.

Bonjour Michel,
