hello friends, as i already wrote before, i always
loved and wanted to do in-flight shots of small birds,
in summer 2008 i start doing 2 or 3 in-flight photos,
then on december 20 2008, that day i did 164 shots
on Snow Buntings, all done with my Nikon Coolpix P60
point & shoot camera, form the 164 in-flight shots
i had published only 2, yesterday i want on that
folder and re-viewed one by one the photos to see
if i can publish another one, i choosed this one

it is on that day, the 20 december 2008 that
i had the sickness to do only in-flight shots
in French we say « j'ai eu la piqûre »,
i wish in january-february 2010 i will do
in-flight shots of Snow Buntings with a DSLR

from All About Birds website :

« Appropriately named, the Snow Bunting is a bird
of the high Arctic and snowy winter fields. Even on
a warm day, the mostly white plumage of a bunting
flock evokes the image of a snowstorm.

Early arriving Snow Bunting males set up and
defend territories that include good nesting sites.
They will still come together in flocks to forage,
and usually roost in loose groups
of from 30 to 80 birds. »

Hi Asbed,

I could learn a lesson on patience from you. 164 shots!! Wonderful to capture these two Snow Buntings in one frame. Their colors are magnificent. Although small, the details are excellent. I love the simplicity of this composition and I'm so glad you decided to post it.

Creo que estas aves no las tenemos por aquí, al menos yo no recuerdo haberlas visto nunca.
Interesante toma de esta pareja con una luz lateral bien captada y un buen encuadre de las aves.
Buena explicación adicional.
Saludos Asbed: Josep Ignasi.

Hello Asbed, wonderful shot of these flying snow-buntings with excellent composition.
TFS and R's,

Bonjour Asbed,

La prise de vue permet des distinguer les détails et les couleuyrs des bruants des neiges en vol. J'apprécie les divisions de la composition, le ciel, les oiseaux et les arbres. Bonne journée.
