Hello friends, the Ring-necked Pheasant in take-off flight.

1/2000s f/8.0 ISO1000 85mm (35mm eq:127mm).

« Ring-necked Pheasants stride across open fields
and weedy roadsides in the U.S. and southern Canada.
Males sport iridescent copper-and-gold plumage, a red face,
and a crisp white collar; their rooster-like crowing can be
heard from up to a mile away. The brown females blend
in with their field habitat. Introduced to the U.S. from Asia
in the 1880s, pheasants quickly became one of North America’s
most popular upland game birds. Watch for them along roads
or bursting into flight from brushy cover. »

Merci.

Hello Asbed,
What a great shot of this Ring-necked Pheasant inflight. The tail is turned perfectly allowing us to see it's beautiful long feathers. Wonderful detail while colors are true and natural.
This image brings back many wonderful memories from my childhood when these gorgeous birds were very common sights in our area. They have all disappeared along with the Bobwhite Quail supposedly from the use of DDT and two very bad winters in 1977 and 78. TFS.

Hello Asbed,
Excellent shot of this beautiful Ring-necked Pheasant in flight. Nice composition, wonderful colours and good sharpness.
Best regards....Joy

Hi Asbed,
Fantastically composed, beautifully timed, very spectacular in-flighter! Probably the colors may be a bit (not a lot) more into yellow tone, but the pic in its entirety is excellent. The fact that the pheasant cock is composed more into the left bottom corner shows he's just closed to the ground. Perfect stuff. Bravo!
Best wishes, László

Hi Asbed,
Lovely shot and with a very good moment captured.
Regards Jiri.

Bonsoir Asbed,

L'oiseau est bien placé dans le cadrage. La prise de vue permet voir les détails et les couleurs du faisan en vol. La qualité de la lumière embellit les couleurs de l'image. Bonne soirée.
