One finds obviously this otter in the rivers but also in the lakes, the rivers the coastal marshes the maritime bays and even the coasts rock. They are active of day like night.
The otters couple themselves in winter, after the coupling a delay from 290 to 380 days occurs before the real development of the embryos starts.Gestation takes 60 - 63 days once that the establishment of the embryos in the uterus occurs. In March, April, the female puts at world 1 to 6 small.

Nice shot Thomas I like the way its wet fur makes an interesting detail its well composed poor thing looks irittated with the thing stuck on its nose. Overall good detail. The catchlight looks good tfs Rgds Necip.

Hi Thomas.
Great quality of the picture taking into account ISO 1600. I like pictured scene, excellent cropping and composition of the shot. Excellent lighting, exposure and details of the animal. Only I think, it was not obligatory to use such high shutter speed. Quite enough 1/400 (1/200) sec and ISO 800 (400). However, the result is great. My compliments and TFS.

En voilà une belle photo ! J'aime bien les détails sur la fourrure mouillée, ainsi aue la composition et la pose de la loutre. C'est juste un peu dommage que l'arriére-plan ne soit pas très naturel, mais je sais aussi aue c'est parfois impossible à éviter. Félicitations !

you did well on this closeup, the details are very nice ant the texture in the fur is wonderful. Not sure what the otter has on its nose but it seems to distract him. Very nice capture, with a great POV and a lovely catch light in the otters eyes.

Belle et intéressante photo pour cette loutre toute mignone. Jolies couleurs et bonne netteté. J'en ai vu trois a mon étang de chasse l'automne passée elles ont passées 1 heure a jouer dans l'étang.

What a lovely portrait of this otter, but it's a bit sad to see that little thing stuck on it's nose.
Other than that it's a nice picture, I like the details on it's fur. Nice colours, light and POV.

C'est tout de même une bonne capture même si je n'aime pas tellement ce background mais bon, je comprend qu'elle n'a pas été photographiée dans son élément naturel. Les détails sont bons mais il me semble qu'il y ait eu un moment de la caméra je crois. L'exposition et la composition correctes aussi. Merci,
