This bird

• feeds in a frenzied manner at feeders before a storm

• male feeds its mate as if she were a nestling when she is warming the eggs
male may contribute materials to build a nest, but he leaves the actual construction to his mate

• is the only bird of its type that gains its breeding plumage by moulting, or shedding and growing feathers

Excelent contrast, vivid shades of yellow and perfect sharpness. I do enjoy composition too.

Il a presque emprunté son plumage d'été ce chardonneret qui nous regarde droit dans les yeux.
Excellente composition et richesse de détails.
J'ai vécu deux ans à l'ombre d'Orford.
