What to do when winter is so unwinter,no snow,no ice on the lakes,a beautiful sunny morning and a +3c.
We decided to go at the ecomuseum of Sainte-Anne de Bellevue.A zoo with a humane mission. All the animal present there are unable to survive in the wild, either they are orphans, born in captivity or badly hurt-one of the snow owls has a wing missing.
Also, the young(in great number today)and less young are presented with the habitants of our wilderness without risk to either group.
About this golden eagle,it is the same size as the bald eagle, nest against a cliff or in a tree occasionnaly.2 eggs are layed usually. They prey on squirrels mainly and others small animals. His territory is holartic, meaning all around the north pole and as south as Mexico and the northern part of Africa and Asia.
In the workshop, you will find 2 more photos.

Stunning portrait, Charles! I love the colours and details, the expression, the light in his eye and the pose. the oof BG, with a pattern that contrasts with the feathers works exceptionally well.
Quite an amazing shot and one which I had to add to my favourites
