[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
Turkey Vulture is an excellent flyer. It endlessly soars with wings held in V-shape and teetering from side to side. It performs infrequent wing beats, taking advantage of raising thermals.
Wing beats and take off are laborious, but it soars very easily. It is able to glide during six hours without any flapping.

Turkey Vultures' North American populations have increased during the last decades, and their range is expending northwards.

Size : 29 inchs

Hi Donald, a very nice shot of a very ugly bird. You're right about the population increasing. I've seen more of these in the past couple of years. Maybe I'll be lucky and get a good shot of one some day. I like the composition you have in this one. Looks like you caught him "busy".

Thanks, John

Bonne photo Donald et très interessante note.
Merci!
Joseph

Re-bonjour Donald,
Merci!

Merci

Hello Donald
Very good shot and very good moment.
Regards.
