[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
The Bohemian Waxwing is similar to the Cedar Waxwing but has dark undertail coverts, gray belly and white and yellow markings in the wing. The Bohemian Waxwing is a bird of the northern boreal forests, breeding in Alaska and western Canada.

In winter it moves south and east. The name "Bohemian" refers to the nomadic movements of winter flocks. The Bohemian Waxwing does not hold breeding territories, probably because the fruits it eats are abundant, but available only for short periods. One consequence of this non-territorial lifestyle is that it has no true song. It does not need one to defend a territory.

Yes, the time of waxwings is comming. We have a different species here but quite similar. I like the composition of your shot. Good work! TFS! Michal

Belle image Donald!

A very decorative bird, and one we don't have here.
Good sharpness and well composed.
Thank you Lapointe.

What a beautiful bird, Donald. The markings and colors on the tip of the wings and tails are stunning. Sharp details and good exposure. I like your composition as well. Well done and TFS. : )

We don't have Waxwings in New Zealand. Nice looking bird. Good POV and well composed but the image has alot of noise.
