[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Throughout the year, adults are gray below and an orangish-rust color above. Adults in alternate (breeding) plumage have a persimmon-red cap, a nearly white supercilium, and a black trans-ocular line (running through the eye). Adults in basic (nonbreeding) plumage are less prominently marked, with a brownish cap, a dusky eyebrow, and a dark eye-line.

Juvenile Chipping Sparrows are prominently streaked below. Like nonbreeding adults, they show a dark eye-line, extending both in front of and behind the eye. The brownish cap and dusky eyebrow are variable but generally obscure in juveniles.

I took this image in RAW mode with my D300 and an old 80-200mm F/4.5 AI Nikkor lens mounted on an as old economical Vivitar 2X extender at ISO 1600. When picture is enlarge we can see red-cyan color fringes denoting the chromatic aberration from such a poor arrangement. But I still got an interesting image.

Overall lighting and colors are excellent. The sparrow in good pose and nice details on it. Only its positioned in the corner, could have been better little away. tfs.

That's a wonderful shot, Alain, the arrangement is very pretty, I love the bright blurred BG and the bird is lovely with the brown cap on the head.
Excellent sharpness, pretty moment, thanks

Bonjour Alain,
