The Bay of the ha! Ha!
The historians do not intend themselves to give an exact explanation of the origin of the name of Bay of the ha! Ha!. For my part, I know 2 of them. But once again, I would like to recall you that there is no yet official reason. One of those would be that the name of origin of Bay of the ha! Ha! given by the Amerindians comprised several "A". The French, being unable to pronounce the name, simply pronounced "A".... (Imagines an Amerindian name with several A... Heskoueouaska kind) The second, and that which seems most probable to me, would be that when the French went up Saguenay for the first time, believed that they were to go straight when they arrived vis-a-vis at Bay of the ha! Ha!. Indeed, when one is vis-a-vis with bay, it is really necessary to turn to right to continue on Saguenay. And it should not be forgotten that in the beginning, there were no buildings at the bottom of Bay. Today, one can see the houses and even the streets, it would be thus difficult to be mistaken. To return from there with the origin of the name, as old French "haha" means "any obstacle abruptly stopping a way" or a dead end or a bottom of bag. When they arrived at the bottom of Bay, the French realized that it did not have there an exit, that it was thus a bottom of bag. Now, for which reason one wrote with!, once again, the historians cannot find the origin of it...

La Baie des Ha! Ha!

Merci Jean Paul!

Hi Jeanpaul,
Good detail, colours and sharpness.
Composition and lighting are excellent. Good POV and framing.
Thanks for posting, have a great weekend.

Hi Jean Paul,
Good photo with beautiful colors and reflection, but I feel that it needs improvement. For one, it needs some rotation to the left. For the others, please see my WS.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Jeanpaul,

This is a lovely image and that is no joke...ha ha ha ! (sorry)

I like the composition; the way it draws you into the scene. Where were you; on a boat? I agree with the above comments and do like Niek's workshop too.

Hi JeanPaul
This is a beautiful tranquil scene you have captured and it has a very soothing impact. The lovely azure sky and the spacious icy-blue ocean give me a feeling of 'I wish I was there'.
The composition is great and the colours are good however, I believe a bit of saturation could improve it greatly. Also the ocean level is dropping down to the right, but I see Niek's workshop has already addressed these issues and it did your photo justice.
Well done and TFS.
Regards
Loot
