[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

The Eared Grebe is a very rare visitor in the Eastern part of Canada. This one had certainly lost his way since he showed up in Victoriaville Québec. The photo was shot in late afternoon at a certain distance, that's why I had to procede to an important crop. I was lucky enough to capture it with a little fish in his bill.

Hope you like

Hi Serge,

what a action pact image here Serge, lovely rich colours, and perhaps the lack of full sharpness here is due to the rapid movement of the Ducks fishing technique, but nevertheless a incredible moment you have captured here Serge,
Congratulations and well done,
Best Regards,

Hi Serge,

Great action shot of this grebe, of my favorite bird, we have them nesting not too far away. Hope you don't mind me saying but not up to your usual standards, which I know are high! A bit of the details are gone and the head turned slightly away from the camera doesn't help.

considering your note and the rarity, and the fact that it's a beautiful bird I can feel your exitement being able to get this capture tho...is the horned grebe more common in your area?

SUPER shot!!
Wonderful bird portrait!!!

Hello Serge

Bonjour Serge,
La position du sujet n'est pas à l'avantage de la photographie mais c'est une belle scène de la vie sauvage finement restituée.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.

Hello Serge.
Good timing on your part to capture this with the fish in its mouth. Taken with good feather detail and sharp focusing. You have used the light well to give bright colours.
Best regards Siggi
