Hi Frank. The crystals sure look like tourmaline, but here ours is normall pure black. Good close up of this specimen. TFS. Murray.

This could be a Ruby, Garnet, Red Spinel, Red topaz, Red Tourmaline, Tugtupite, just to name a few red minerals. It's really beautiful what ever it is.
In one my books it was saying Ruby's can have white lines through it.
