[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Fireweed is the official flower of the Yukon Territory. This particular scene is taken from the alpine regions of Mt. Montana near the small historic town of Carcross, looking north towards Whitehorse.
It was fairly windy here, so getting a frozen shot was a bit tricky while still stopping down enough for some good DOF.

That's a wonderful view and excellent photo. I traveled up the Alcan highway back in 1974 and may have traveled near here. Thanks for sharing this scenic view.

Hi Tim,
Beutiful, great contrast with the blue mountains in the background and the fire weed in the foregound. It makes me want to visit there....in the summer of course.
Merry Christmas,
Denis.

Hi Tim

That's beautiful, what a great vista. Yaeh I could sit there for a while and soak up that atmosphere. Great composition and DOF.
