[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Mallard, or anas platyrhynchos platyrhynchos, is a duck that is found all over North America. Commonly called greenheads (drakes), grey ducks (hens) and susies (hens), mallard ducks, with their trademark “quack” call, are one of the most recognized of all the ducks.

Hello Doug,
Light, colors and composition are very nice. TFS
Have a nice day,

A beautiful action shot. Of course the duck looks great but I'm absolutely fascinated with the little water droplets behind her.

Great stop-action - great details - wonderful lighting. Another beauty!

Wow Doug! What a nice timing to freeze this moment! Very nice to see this duck with its flaps on and still "rolling" on the surface. Excellent details! Congratulations!

...and this is another in motion shot Doug, I like much. Have you ever been over to Grand Forks just South 10 miles into the states? It is home of my wilderness and old cabin. I see Mallards quite often but until I moved away did not have the gear to make such as nice capture as this.

Nice frozen action showing this mallard sliding into home base. I like the rich color and perfect exposure.

Hi Doug,
Very nice shot! Clear, sharp and beautiful colours. I like the dynamic movement of the water.
Thanks for sharing,

Cool shot - looks as if gliding instead of landing! Great Stop action shot in a wonderful light! Bravo! Cheers, Klaus

Hi Doug, wonderful crisp and sharp shot of the Mallard landing. Light, colour and water stunning. You seem to be very good at catching action at the right moment. very well composed.

Wow! This is a good action catch Doug! I like the splashing water a lot and this superb light in the duck's eye. Again, this lady looks like she is smiling, this is so funny :) Thanks,
