[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken on the way back, but this little pond is very close to the actual Ling Lake trailhead. The trail itself is getting to become more of a cross between a trail and a route, as our heavy rainfalls and lush growth tend to swallow up whatever mankind tries to do. Fortunately the trail/ route is still quite well flagged so it isn't too difficult (yet) to find your way around.
The foreground white flowers are known as cow parsnip.

For a bit of perspective, I saved a jpeg image of the entire route we took from Foley Lake, where we parked the car, to Ling Lake and the Foley Creek headwater area to the right of Ling HERE.

You can follow the valley as it makes it's way along from Foley Lake to the trailhead. Notice all the light green sections which are logged off areas that have young second growth; quite a bit along the valley here eh?
Just past the "trailhead" marker is where this photo was taken. You can't really see this pond on the map.

Hi Tim,
Another good landscape. I like the division the lake creates between the foreground and background. The image is well in focus and it looks like it was a perfect day for this photo.
regards
Matt.

How Green was my Valley!
What wonderful lighting and great colors! It's peaceful but energetic simultaneously.

Hallo Tim
Thank you for sharing such a peaceful scene with us. Oh, how I wish I could have been there. It looks spectacular. I really enjoyed this photo. Isn’t nature just wonderful? Everywhere you look you see something different. I just miss my childhood when I see beauty like this, and appreciate life just more. I normally suck up like a sponge with any new kind of information, and found your note extremely informative. I also picked up another very interesting note a few days ago and found it very helpful. Please check out this out when you do have some time. Although it is not related to your topic, you might just find it as interesting as I did.

Thanks for sharing and enjoy the weekend.

Cow Parsnip? Hmmm I wonder if it is eatable...I also see some lush yarrow in the shot. Great stuff for clotting wounds. Worked for me every time...even works on "bleeder". A very informative picture. Also somewhat familiar type of landscape. Where is the burdock? Surely there must be something there to stick to you besides a good memory:-)

Très beau paysage de ce pays rocheux.
Bravo
Marie
