Une très belle compostion avec une belle harmonie des couleurs.
Avec la prise de vue par l'arrière, le plumage de l'oiseau est magnfique.

Nice shot of the Flicker with very good detail. Love the texture in the fence post. Bg has visible noise but not a big deal for me...the color is very flattering. Nice shooting!

Very good capture of this flicker!
I like the back view of the bird, and the vivid colours got on their plumage.
Very good the DOF and the soft/oof background got.
Well done and thanks for share it.
My best regards,
Great shot for the windy conditions. The fast shutter speed gave you good sharpness/details even in the windy conditions. Excellent DOF and very nice exposure and colors. Your POV was outstanding as it gives us so much of the colors of the bird and great eye contact as well.
There is a tiny bit of noise and my preference would be more of a vertical crop to prevent the subject from being as centered. (I addressed these two minor points in a workshop). Thanks.

Nice shot shows us the beautiful pattering of this slick looking flicker. I am trying very hard to photograph this bird, but the pair I found have made their nest to high, but I have an idea of how I might get the snap. :)

Hey Michel, :)
This is great, I know it's really difficult to get a good capture with heavy winds! You have certainly done that with this lovely Flicker. Really nice sharpness and the colours are spot on as well. Lovely Compostion, thank you again for sharing.

A wonderful Flicker. You caught his face and plummage just perfectly. What a wonderful pose! Details and colors couldn't be better. The bg is superb. I haven't seen one for a while. Maybe they left us knowing it would be 100F here soon.
Out of smiles - tomorrow.

Merci!

Nice work Michel love the sharp detail and nice pov good background compliments the subject well rgds Necip.
Michel I like your capture of this Flicker very much. The colours are great; and the ruffled feathers add a nice touch.
Composition-wise I would prefer a different presentation.
The balance between the bird and the post can be changed putting the emphasis on the bird.
< by also removing the distracting knots; they are nice, but divert attention >.
Then I tried to use a diagonal line from LL to UR... to position the bird, keeping in mind the thirds rule as well.
The b/g doesn't bother me, I prefer it to overly PPed stuff...
Hope you like, Jay
BTW I have posts like that in my yard in Calgary! Never shot a flicker there though:-(
PS Posted the WS today...

This is really a beautiful bird with wonderful colours and patterns on its plumage. Very elegant and handsome indeed. I think the way you captured it showing its back is just stunning. This way one can appreciate the beauty of the plumage in all its splendour. Wonderful shot, excellent capture, lovely framed with great sharpness and clarity. This is the second time I have seen this bird in a days time, and I still am amazed by its beauty. Thanks for sharing.
