[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
Turdus migratorus is a well known bird that walks on the grass, proudly. Can be recognized thanks to its brick red breast and its dark grey back. The head and the queue are black for the male, greyer for the female. The young has a lighter grey breast, but the particular medium red eases the identification.
Similar breed: in the south of Texas, the merle fauve.
Living: city, farm, grass, garden, forest ; in winter, fruit trees.
Area: from Alaska and Canada up to south of Mexico. In winter, essentially in south of Canada.
Size: 23 to 28 cm.

Excelent capture and well composed.
Too bad it won't be finding worms.

Very good shot Laurent!I think he's jumping.Right?
I liked the composition and this little cute robin...TFS

Nice composition and well controlled exposure, especially with all that snow around. Is this quite a large crop of the original? I only ask as there is quite a bit of purple fringing on the branches and the bird, or maybe it is a characteristic of the lens. A fine shot though Laurent.

Very nice shot, but it could be framed a bit tighter.
Well done.

Very nice capture of this little Robin Laurent. Nice dof to show some details in the bird. Colours are very good and I like the way you put in some of the environment. Clever handling of the light not to burn the snow. All over a very pleasant picture to look at.
