Late spring on Canada's west coast came with cool temperatures, heavy precipitation, and a snowpack in the mountains that built up. When summer temperatures came, a sudden melting of the ice and snow may flood the rivers and streams.
This image is of a boulder in the middle of the Cameron river, normally a slow and shallow stream at this spot alongside the highway. This ˝-second exposure shows the water swirling around a black boulder. The cloudy sky gave me good lighting for this image.
