The identification of certain species of carry-tails poses a true headache: their aspect varies! Thus, at the "Papilio memnon" the tail of the posterior wings misses sometimes and the colors as the reasons can vary from one individual to another. Such "a polymorphism" - this capacity that several forms have certain species to post - is observed especially in the females, often different from the males.

Great capture of this beautiful butterfly, excellent sharpness. Two small nits: The glare from the leaf is a bit distracting. This might have been avoided by stopping down on exposure. Secondly, you've clipped the tip of the right wing. Neither are great problems, though.

The colors on this butterfly are gorgeous. Great details and exposure. Too bad the tip of the right wing got clipped off. A stunning picture all the same. : )

Nice capture of this beauty Josee. A shame about the wingtip out of frame, but its still a good shot.
It lkooks as though this butterfly has had a bit of a rough time. Thanks for posting.

Love the contrasting of colors.Good capture.

This is lovely, both the photo and the butterfly. It is an excellent composition with good detail and color. A little distracting is the light off the leaf, but otherwise very well done. Thank you.

On peut pratiquement sentir la texture des ailes. Félicitations, c'est très bien réussi.
