Juvenile Redtail Hawk Again
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|I took this image just two days after the one I posted yesterday. Driving my husband home from work, he noticed this hawk sitting on a sign post in a little park beside the river, just a mile or so 'as the hawk flies' from where I photographed the last one, so this could be the same bird. It just sat there unconcerned as people passed by within a few feet, never looking up, yacking away, totally oblivious to the hawk's presence. People can be so blind to the magic and wonders all around them. But I'm sure the hawk felt more comfortable that way. When it noticed me noticing it and taking pictures it flew away.|

I had to stop in and say this is a splendid shot. Thee are difficult photos to take. Whenever I have a bird with a lot of light behind it, I lose all detailing in the bird itself - it gets lost in the shadows, but you preserved details. Wonderful especially in the feather. :)
