The Mistaya River flows from Peyto Lake in Banff Nationa Park. The river is located along the Icefields Parkway and is accessed by a ten minute walk down a maintained trail.
This view is of the river just before it enters a narrow twisted scuplted rock canyon.

Photoshop E4 Processing:
lightened shadows
darkened highlights
lowered brightness
added cyan to water using magic wand, layer, new adjustment filter, photo filter, cyan
sharpen
frame
The cyan was added to return the natural color to water that was OE with the bright light/ high contrast image.

PS: TN posting darkened this image taking the color out of the trees. :-(

Thank you all for a taking a look and sharing your thoughts. Richard

Hi Richard
What a beautiful river! I love the soft blue glacial colour of the water and how it is churning. The mountains in the background add to the composition. Well done.
TFS Janice

Hi Richard,
Very beautiful river picture vith excellent landscape.TFS.

Richard;
What a wonderful location to shoot. The colors of the water are amazing. I cannot remember seeing that particular colored water in any American River I have frequented. All in all a 'spot on' landscape!

Regards
Bob

Hi Richard,

Posting to TN becomes an art in itself and not very exact. I find that my images generally post lighter than on my monitor so I darken a bit before uploading???? Some depends on whether you are viewing on a Mac or PC. I use a Mac. Yes your tree areas do look very dark. I do think the arrangement of the composition is nice.

Hello Richard,
Wonderful typical canadian landscape.
The light is tense and hypnotic.
The picture is well thought of and has all the ingrediens for a perfect composition.
A pleasure to see.
Thanks,
Christian
