Heron pictures seem to be a dime a dozen on this site, but I just love the pose of this one. It had just landed and it turned with wings spread in what looked like a stately dance.

It doesn't matter how many pictures of Heron are on this site. Pictures like that you can keep them coming.
Perfect timing and, what an attitude!!! Maybe this bird is part of the aristocratic branch of the heron family. Very well done. The timing, the framing and the exposure contribute to make this picture an outstanding one.


Dime or dozen or not, the thing is, each photographer has his or her own unique way - which means they are all individual. I love the composition on this one. This is terrific in detail and contrast. Thanks so much for sharing it!
