[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
For lack of photos recently, this is from July's archive.
Hand held pan of this Canada Goose taking off with wing tips just grazing the water.
They may be a bit common these waterfowl, but they sure make good practice for in flight shots.
One thing I noted was when they start a loud honking nose in the water, it is time to start focusing the camera on them and raising the shutter speed.
Then you do not have much time before they are off into the air.
Hopefully soon some more birds will be showing up, and I can get out from a busy work schedule.
I miss my shutter addiction.
I try to get as many comments in each night, but the workload doubled and I get tired real fast lately.

Hi Doug,
What a nice photo with full details and beautiful colors, godd capture, well done

Hello Doug,
This is not an easy shot to do and I think that you did great! The movement is well frozen with good composition. Its head is a little blurred but those nice details we see on its wings compensate for it ;) Well done and TFS,

Hello Doug,
Canada Goose in flight....an achievement.
Difficult to capture due to their black and white parts let alone taking a photo in flight.
Well done

Hello Doug

A wonderful shot of this Canada goose. The in flight shot is very well done.Excellent detail in the plumage. The colours are rich and well saturated.Great timing.I love the stance of the body.A classic goose shot.Great job.I agree about the addiction and the work load ,I suffer from both of those too.TFS

"in flight shots"

This is something I have lots of difficulties with. Thanks for the info about the goose pre-flight checks. Will try to make good use of the info! Thanks for sharing. Good Note
