[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hawk (bird), common name for more than 250 species of small- to medium-sized predatory birds. Hawks have extremely sharp claws, called talons, which they use to catch and hold their prey, and their name comes from the Middle English word hafoc, which means “to grasp or seize.” Hawks are members of a group of raptors, or birds of prey, that hunt during the day rather than at night. Other birds in this group are ospreys, kites, vultures, and eagles.

Image of the hawk captured at the Mountsberg Wildlife Centre in Guelph, Ontario.

Hi Elton, very good portrait of that Hawk, great colors, sharp image. I like the tight crop but I'm not sure about all that blank area at the right. Anyway, good work !

Hi Elton,
Splendid portrait shot of the Hawk with nice details on its plumage. Lovely colour tones and you have captured a fine pose. It stands out well against the BG and I like the eye contact. Excellent POV and very nicely composed. Kudos.
