[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I've been rather busy as of late doing a pile of other photography related stuff, so it's been tough spending any decent time on TN, but just to show that I'm still around I figured I better post something.
This is Wokkpash Creek, very close to where we camped that night and had the northern lights. The water here has that trademark blue-green glacial silt which originates from the mighty Wokkpash glacier at it's headwaters. Of course many other feeder streams also originate from glaciers as well.

Very beautiful landscape! Good composition!

Wonderful composition - the arrangement of the mountains in the background, the half-circle formed - great.
The water is nice - the shutter speed allowed some motion making for a very dynamic shot.

Hi Tim,
A very good composed image!
I like the light color of the water, so clear, that makes a strong contrast with the dark mountains around and clouded sky.
It's very good the curve made by the river for the composition and leaving by the right left corner.
Well done and thanks for share it.
My best regards,
JM

What a beautiful place to camp. The picture has or rather gives me the feeling of being alone in a big, big world. I could not imagine being alone in this place. Good thing you had companion along. Very well done under harsh lighting which you somehow turned into a plus!

Hello Tim

A wonderful composition,I love how the creek runs through the shot leading the eye to the mountains (which are magically lit) on the horizon. The shot has a nice atmosphere to it.I like the POV.The shot has your usual excellent clarity.TFS

Hi Tim,
A wonderful composition of what seems to be a really wild country. I like the use of the slow shutter speed a lot, since it showed the motion of the wild river perfectly. It also gave you wonderful details. I am amazed about the clarity in this photo. My experience of distant mountain views is the disatvantage of haze.
I did a WS on your photo because I think the photo is slightly tilted to the right. I also wanted to see what it would look like if the FG was brighter.
TFS,
Niek

Seems we've both been away and/or busy. It is hard to keep up with TN sometimes. I like this shot a lot and I like Niek's workshop too. You've really captured the feeling of a wild and natural place. Nice sharpness and depth of focus.
