Hello, in my library i have publications
done by the government of Québec :

« La Faune du Québec et son habitat »

15 brochures, in that brochure
there is also the Moose

the cover of the brochure is in color
and the inside photos are in duotones

i decide to reproduce that think,
here is my moose photo in color
and in duotone, my duotone
is more grayscale tones, the one
of the brochures are more reddish tones

in my life i had the chance to see
2 times the moose, in the second time
i had the chance to take it in photo,
this moose is the same as yesterdays
and the same as i posted one in my
very bigginings in TN

this moose she late me enter
in her intimity and she let me
immortalize her in image

this photo was taken with my
very little digital compact camera
i let the camera choose the
shutter speed and the aperture
in 3 megapixel ISO200

please go read this canadian government's
excellent link on the moose

http://www.hww.ca/hww2.asp?id=93

and don't forget to view the
duotone version of this image

thanks for viewing and critiques

Hi Asbed.
Thanks for nice comments and so wonderful shots next to me. I like both versions a lot. Every of them has own unique charm. Excellent scenery, superb reproduction of the animal and surroundings. Nice colors and impressive lighting. I like framing and composition of the image. They are simply blameless. Bravo.
Alexei.

Hi Asbed,

I like this one even better than yesterday's. Both versions are nice - but I surprise myself by thinking the duotone is even more effective than the colors. You did a wonderful job with the conversion. I like the pose and the good details of the eyes, ears, and coat.

Merci!

Francine

Hi Asbed,

Great shot, although pitty about the plant partly obscuring his face. But you did get the eye and you have some lovely detail in the coat. The pov is perfect and the composition spot on. I actually think the colour version works better than the monotone, although I can't put my finger on quite why.

Mike

Hello Asbed,
Excellent Moose image. Very well composed.
Good sharpness. Beautiful animal.
Are they so difficult to spot?
Well done

For one reason or another I like this one best. It sure was nice knowing how it was taken. Here not too far south off the Alberta border we are experiencing all sorts of Moose invasions...spotting's over the last w2eek, in the city, are in the hundreds!

Bonjour Asbed,

Merci!

Asbed,
Good capture of the moose, nice detail and clarity. Doutone is good too. the one week I was up in Jasper and Banff, never get to see one.

Bonjour Asbed

Hi Asbed

Lovely to be so close to this beautiful animal. They always seem to have such sad eyes. Lovely close up shot with a great POV
